The Community Energy Practitioners’ Forum is a new initiative which brings together some of the leading charities empowering and supporting action by communities on sustainable energy across the UK.

CEPF Council

Through meetings, principally involving Chief Executives or other senior representatives of the founder members, we pursue a common ambition to act together to:

  1. Share knowledge, experience and resources to learn from each other, raise standards of practice, increase the impact of our work, and improve effectiveness by reducing duplication
  2. Establish a coherent and effective common voice to help inform and shape policies and programmes, and to communicate our successes more clearly and effectively
  3. Develop and realise opportunities to collaborate to deliver high quality services that empower and support community action on energy across England, Scotland and Wales.

CEPF Communities of Practice

From time to time the Council establish Communities of Practice that draw in key staff from interested members to address important issues. Currently there are two Communities of Practice in operation on Communities and the Green Deal and Financing Community Renewables.

Projects

CEPF members will work together to develop new resources, projects and services.
The first of these is the Community Pathways website - A resource for communities and community partners that provides an accessible doorway to ideas and guidance on community energy action.
